On the 4th of July Paragon books was visited by Emma Chapman, the popular author of ‘How to be a Good Wife’. Emma is on a UK tour of independent bookshops and not only did she visit us but we had the good fortune to have her on Independents day, celebrating all independent shops in Britain and also during National Independent Booksellers week!
Emma met with Mark, Jenny and Richard as well as kindly signing some copies of her book, patiently allowing Richard to snap photos all the while!
You can see Emma in the shop here, and you can follow her adventures around the bookshops of the nation on her twitter, here.

In April one of our staff found the 20 year old website in a quiet corner of the internet and after he regained consciousness he decided the time had come for something a bit more up to date. Within a few days Paragon Books was given a brand new look to go with the new(ish!) facebook page, and you’re looking at it!
This site offers improved facilities such as a direct way of contacting us, where to find us and generally gives our lovely customers a better insight into what we can do for them.
Obviously it’s still taking its first steps, so if you find any bugs do let us know!
